Amy Adams

Hi! I’m Amy, a Pelvic Floor and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist based in Auckland New Zealand. A bit about me – Upon completing my Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy, at Auckland University of Technology in 2013, I began my career working for and managing a multi-disciplinary Physiotherapy practice. With a developing interest in providing specific pain management strategies through clinical Pilates Mat Work, I completed my training in STOTT Pilates in 2015. During my time working as a private Physiotherapist and Pilates Coach, I saw a need for a Mobile Physio service, for those who found it challenging to attend appointments due to time restraints, work hours, childcare or immobility. In 2017, I founded The Mobile Physio which I’m happy to say is seeing astounding results in the world of injury rehabilitation.

Through providing mobile treatment to a number of pregnant and post-partum clients, I discovered a lack of education available about the changes that occur to the body during pregnancy and birth. It was through these often painful encounters, coupled with a desire to provide client centred, holistic treatment, that a passion for Women’s Health and Wellness was born. In 2019, I went on to complete my Women’s Health training with WHTA Specialist & director Taryn Hallam in Melbourne, Australia. Having established a pathway for Pelvic Floor rehabilitation, I now work closely with specialists and allied health professionals in New Zealand, to ensure my clients receive the latest education and treatment.
